Tímea Csanády–Jakab is a contemporary painter whose works are born on the cusp between reality and the inner imagination. She has been drawing and painting since childhood, but in recent years it has become clear to her that art is not merely a form of self-expression, but a vocation. Through his works, he seeks to convey harmony, hope and beauty, whilst offering a sensitive reflection on the human spirit and the world around us.

A key source of inspiration throughout her career was the painter Árpád Bényi, whose art and personal guidance provided her with a solid professional foundation. She is also grateful for the support of Antónia Papp (née Bobonka), whose encouragement and professional advice helped her artistic journey to flourish.

One of the most distinctive features of his paintings is their rich symbolism and unique use of colour. In his works, nature, human figures and abstract motifs are often brought together in a single dreamlike composition. Colours do not merely serve an aesthetic purpose, but also convey emotional and conceptual meaning, creating a delicate balance between visual appearance and inner content.

Her works are like a visual inner journey. They do not provide ready-made answers; rather, they pose questions and leave room for the viewer’s own interpretation. It is this openness that makes her painting particularly personal and timeless.

From a curatorial perspective, I see Tímea Csanády–Jakab not simply as a painter, but as a visual storyteller.
