Diána Verebélyi (VéDia) was born in Kazincbarcika in 1987, and has been surrounded by the arts since childhood. In 2005, she graduated as a ceramist from the Eötvös József Secondary School of Art in Miskolc, where she also experimented with painting at the same time, and in the same year she won the main prize for painting in an Attila József competition. She continued her studies at Nyíregyháza College, specialising in drawing and visual communication, from where she graduated in 2010 with a degree in sculpture. In 2009, he received the Mihály Gubis Prize at the ArtÉrt Artists’ Colony in Sárospatak, and in 2012 he became one of the youngest painter members of the National Association of Hungarian Creative Artists (MAOE). In 2016, he was commissioned to design the Petőfi Music Award, which has since become one of the most prestigious honours in the Hungarian music scene. He has been living and working in Szentendre as a painter and sculptor since 2007; his career is marked by more than 40 solo and 250 group exhibitions both at home and abroad.
